Petroleum jelly is a staple item many people use for beauty treatments. Although, petroleum jelly is considered safe for cosmetic use it has been shown to have some ugly side effects. Petroleum jelly is a by-product of crude oil.
Crude oil is a naturally occurring substance. However, in the United States there are no refinement requirements in the manufacturing of petroleum jelly. This leaves American consumers at risk to the potential health risks linked to poly-aromatic hydrocarbons.
